According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 40,340 juvenile arrests made in US cities for larceny theft offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (22.91K), followed by Black or African American (15.70K), and Asian (785).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 32,987 (82%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (25.80K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (7.19K).
