According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 47,311 adult arrests made in US metropolitan counties for aggravated assault offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (31.85K), followed by Black or African American (14.23K), and Asian (725).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 42,698 (90%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (32.66K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (10.04K).
