According to the FBI UCR data, in 2023, there were 27,567 total arrests made in the US for forgery and counterfeiting offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as White (15.72K), followed by Black or African American (10.82K), and Asian (768).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 28,058 (102%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (20.13K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (7.93K).
