US Unemployment Rate By State in March, 2023

According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of the US was 3.5% (sa) in March, 2023. Among all US states and DC, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates: Nevada (5.1%), District of Columbia (4.9%), and California (4.5%).

On the hand, the following three states were among those with low unemployment rates: Vermont (1.8%), South Dakota (1.8%), and North Dakota (2%).
