According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Nevada was 11.6% (sa) in August, 2009. Among all Nevada counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Lyon (14.6%), Nye (14.2%), and Clark (12%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Lander (5.1%), Elko (5.8%), and Esmeralda (6.2%).
