According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 8.9% (sa) in September, 2012. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Pulaski (11.6%), Alexander (11.3%), and Johnson (11.2%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Woodford (5.6%), Brown (5.7%), and Piatt (6.1%).
