According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of Illinois was 9% (sa) in August, 2012. Among all Illinois counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Alexander (12.2%), Johnson (11.9%), and Pulaski (11.6%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Woodford (5.8%), Brown (6.3%), and Effingham (6.4%).
