According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q3, the average weekly wage for South Carolina was $580. Among all South Carolina counties, Aiken County had the highest average weekly wage ($718), followed by Fairfield County ($648), and Greenville County ($641).

On the other hand, Saluda County had the lowest average weekly wage ($417), followed by Dillon County ($428), and Bamberg County ($429).
