According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q3, the average weekly wage for Maryland was $763. Among all Maryland counties, Montgomery County had the highest average weekly wage ($897), followed by St. Mary's County ($822), and Baltimore city ($812).

On the other hand, Worcester County had the lowest average weekly wage ($423), followed by Garrett County ($460), and Queen Anne's County ($516).
