According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q3, the average weekly wage for Maine was $578. Among all Maine counties, Sagadahoc County had the highest average weekly wage ($666), followed by Cumberland County ($636), and Kennebec County ($590).

On the other hand, Piscataquis County had the lowest average weekly wage ($450), followed by Washington County ($459), and Lincoln County ($475).
