According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2003 Q2, the average weekly wage for Maine was $569. Among all Maine counties, Cumberland County had the highest average weekly wage ($639), followed by Sagadahoc County ($632), and Kennebec County ($573).

On the other hand, Piscataquis County had the lowest average weekly wage ($428), followed by Lincoln County ($460), and Washington County ($461).
