According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2005 Q2, the average weekly wage for Alabama was $644. Among all Alabama counties, Washington County had the highest average weekly wage ($858), followed by Choctaw County ($802), and Madison County ($795).

On the other hand, Geneva County had the lowest average weekly wage ($421), followed by Tallapoosa County ($446), and Butler County ($455).
