Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, 34,067 out of 284,213 MS Congressional District 3 households received Food Stamps or SNAP in the last 12 months (i.e. 11.99% of MS Congressional District 3 households).

By Race: As a percentage of the total number of households that received SNAP or Food Stamps, the Black Alone racial group constituted 69.49%; the White Alone racial group constituted 27.35%, and the American Indian & Alaska Native Alone racial group constituted 1.28%.

By Ethnicity: As a percentage of the total number of households that received Food Stamps or SNAP, the Non-Hispanic White Alone ethnicity group constituted 26.92%, and the Hispanic or Latino of All Races ethnicity group constituted 1.35%.
