Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the Poverty Rate for Vermont was 10.53%. Among all Vermont counties, Essex County had the highest poverty rate (14.71%), followed by Windham County (13.42%), and Caledonia County (12.61%). On the other hand, the following 3 counties had the lowest poverty rate: Grand Isle County (6.54%), Addison County (7%), and Windsor County (9.05%).
