North Carolina Household Income Distribution in 2021 (ACS-5Yrs)

Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, among the 4,034,684 households, there were 280,118 households (6.94%) that had a household income that fell in the $200K - and Over category, and there were 244,476 households (6.06%) that had a household income that fell in the $150K - Less $200K category.

On the other hand, there were 1,346,929 households (33.38%) that had a household income that fell in the Less $40K category, and there were 343,371 households (8.51%) that had a household income that fell in the $40K - Less $50K category.

The chart below shows a subset of the percentages of households for the different household income categories. The table below shows both the number and percentages for many more household income categories.
