Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the number of employed US civilians (16 years and over) who were employed as Pharmacists was 334,208 (i.e. 0.21% of all civilian employees). Among those employed as Pharmacists, 40.92% were Males, and 59.08% were Females.

The median earnings for all Pharmacists was $131,548, which was 59.51% higher than the median earnings for all US civilian employees. The median earnings of Female Pharmacists was 5.02% less than that of their male counterparts.
