Based on the US Census ACS-5Yrs estimates, in 2021, the number of employed US civilians (16 years and over) who were employed as Medical assistants was 573,714 (i.e. 0.36% of all civilian employees). Among those employed as Medical assistants, 8.47% were Males, and 91.53% were Females.
